Comment on noteOur opinion
From Talamone, this sailboat gives you a privileged starting point to head out along the southern coast of Tuscany. I recommend it if you want to alternate sailing, swimming and stopovers, with the option of choosing an outing accompanied by an optional skipper or sailing independently depending on conditions and applicable rules.
Launched in 2017, the Dufour 460 GL measures 14.15 meters and has two cabins for four berths, in a configuration announced for four passengers. Its engine develops 75 hp. On board, the equipment notably includes an autopilot, GPS, a gennaker, a dinghy with its engine and a paddleboard. The sun awning, cushions and outdoor table invite you to enjoy the cockpit between two swims; a swim platform, a ladder and an outdoor shower make it easy to get back on board. Hot water, heating, Wi-Fi, USB ports, outdoor speakers and a TV complete the listed equipment. The listing shows a rating of 4.97/5, based on five reviews, and a rate starting from €414 per day.
From the port, you can follow the Maremma coastline and consider sailing toward the Argentario promontory, whose coves and rocky landscapes make you want to stop for a swim. Depending on the itinerary, the weather and the time available, the islands of Giglio or Giannutri can also feed your outing plans. These are geographical possibilities, not guaranteed stopovers: the route is decided with the skipper, or by the boat leader if you go without assistance. The skipper is offered as an option; the listing does not specify license requirements, to be checked before booking if you wish to take the helm.
With its four berths and its equipment geared toward life at anchor, this boat suits a small group or a family that prefers to share the sea without taking too many people on board. In summer, remember to book early and to confirm the planned route as well as the sailing conditions. I would choose Talamone for a getaway where you keep some flexibility: a cove if the sea allows it, a more ambitious crossing if the weather permits, and always the pleasure of returning to port at the pace of the day.
