Comment on noteOur opinion
From Puntone di Scarlino, this sailboat offers you an independent way to explore the Tuscan coast and enjoy days paced by stopovers and swims. I recommend it if you hold the required license and wish to sail on your own, with up to five other passengers.
The Bavaria Cruiser 34, built in 2018, measures 9.99 meters and accommodates six people, with six berths spread across three double cabins. It has a bathroom, a full kitchen and a dinette where you can share meals sheltered from the sun. Outside, the sunbathing areas and the cockpit offer spaces to relax between two sails. The stated power is 14 hp.
On board, you will find a dinghy, a paddleboard, masks and snorkels, as well as an autopilot to assist navigation. The GPS, depth sounder, VHF and guides with charts complete the equipment useful at sea. The battened mainsail and the genoa are provided for sailing; the spray hood provides shelter in the cockpit. Also included are an outdoor table, cushions, speakers, USB and 220 V outlets, as well as an electric windlass. The rental is offered without a skipper and a boating license is required. The listed rate starts at €263 per day; the renters' rating is 4.5/5, based on three reviews.
Setting off from Puntone, you can consider sailing along the Maremma coast, with Cala Violina among the landmarks of the shoreline, or head for the islands of the Tuscan archipelago. The island of Elba is mentioned in the description; Giglio, Giannutri and the Argentario area also offer itinerary ideas to study according to the length of your outing, the weather and the sailing conditions. These destinations are not guaranteed in a single day: it is best to check the distances and prepare your route. As the boat is offered for self-sailing, you are in charge of the navigation, in accordance with your experience and the applicable rules.
With three cabins, this layout suits a small group or a family that wants to combine life on board and stopovers. In summer, I advise you to book early and prepare your itinerary before departure, keeping some leeway for the wind and the mood of the day. If you have the necessary license and experience, this sailboat can be a great base for setting out to sea from the Maremma.
