Ansonica

Ansonica is the emblematic white grape variety of the island of Giglio and the Argentario. You will find it under the Ansonica Costa dell'Argentario DOC appellation. It is not a wine for aging, but a dry, aromatic wine, with notes of citrus and white-fleshed fruits, sometimes a hint of almond. It is perfect to accompany the fish and seafood that you will enjoy fresh on the coast. It is the local wine par excellence, the one you drink on a terrace facing the sea, a glass of freshness that is typically Maremman. Don't expect a grand cru, but an authentic expression of the terroir.
