Comment on noteOur opinion
Here, you won't find any fuss, but a cuisine that takes root directly in the earth. Terre di Giorgio is an agriturismo-restaurant that grows its own organic produce, offering a contemporary take on Tuscan tradition. This is the address for those seeking the true flavor of the terroir, without compromise.
The house champions a "farm-to-table" approach, which means you'll eat what their estate produces and what the season dictates. Expect dishes like the Flan di ricotta e melanzana, with tomato, basil and ricotta salata, or a Pappa al pomodoro revisited with chicche di latte and crystallized basil. They also work with a Carpaccio di vitella salmistrata with thyme mayonnaise, roasted pistachio and stravecchio pecorino. The Calus and Diana wines, Calus grappa, saffron and organic extra virgin olive oil are their pride and joy.
The setting is that of a typical Tuscan farmhouse, a historic residence named Villa la Palazzetta, in the heart of the Val d'Orcia. Imagine vines, olive groves, fragrant gardens and saffron fields all around. You'll have a view of Monte Amiata, and tranquility is guaranteed. It's a rural, peaceful and panoramic atmosphere, far from the hustle and bustle.
If you're looking for cuisine that speaks of its origin, where every ingredient has a story and comes directly from the farm, Terre di Giorgio is your address. It's a table where the product is king, showcased with precision and without artifice, in a setting that breathes authentic Tuscany. For about €37 per person, you get an experience rooted in the terroir.
