Comment on noteOur opinion
Here, you're not looking for great starred cuisine, but a table that puts your feet in the sand, or almost. What sets Pozzarello apart is its direct location on the beach and the promise of very fresh fish, served in a simple and relaxed setting.
The house focuses on traditional cuisine, without fuss. Expect dishes where the product speaks for itself, especially from the sea. Customers often talk about the fresh fish, and you'll find on the menu classics like the Sauté di cozze (sautéed mussels), the Insalata di mare (seafood salad) or the Cocktail di gamberi (shrimp cocktail). Some reviews also mention the totani ripieni, stuffed squid, and the frittatina cacio e pepe, specialties that stand out a bit from the ordinary.
The atmosphere is that of a seaside restaurant. You eat with a view of the sea, a welcoming and informal atmosphere. It's not the gastronomic restaurant trying to surprise you with crazy techniques, but a place where you can relax, feet almost in the water, especially at sunset. The service is often described as cordial and professional, which doesn't hurt.
If you're looking for an unpretentious address, where the fish is fresh and the view breathtaking, Pozzarello is a serious option. It's the kind of place you choose for its direct setting on the sea and its simple but effective cuisine, not for a complex culinary experience. For a relaxed meal with a beautiful view, it's a table that delivers.
