Notre conseil
In Saturnia, wellness takes on an ancestral dimension. The thermal water, gushing at 37.5°C for more than 3,000 years, was already prized by the Etruscans and the Romans. This water, rich in sulfur, provides a unique sensation, sometimes surprising because of its smell, but always regenerating. Whether you opt for the luxury of the thermal park, with its 20,000 m² of facilities, its pools, its hydromassages and its argilarium, or for the wild beauty of the free waterfalls of the Mill, the experience is deeply rooted in the landscape of the Maremma. These waterfalls, formed by the Gorello stream, offer a natural setting where the water sculpts the travertine, creating pools for bathing throughout the seasons, even in the evening for an experience under the stars.
The water of Saturnia, with its recognized therapeutic virtues, invites moderation: avoid immersing your hair and limit the duration of the baths to protect your skin. Remember to remove your jewelry, as sulfur can alter it. The immediate surroundings, such as the village of Montemerano, with its castle and its art history library, are about fifteen minutes away by car, offering a cultural complement to your wellness stay. If you choose the free waterfalls, be aware that a parking lot is available nearby, and that the banks of the Gorello stream are ideal for a peaceful picnic.
