Quali sono le cose da fare a Magliano in Toscana?

À Magliano in Toscana, start by walking along the medieval ramparts and entering the center through the Porta San Giovanni or the Porta San Martino : the route is short, but the passages offer beautiful views over the olive groves and vineyards. In the narrow streets, look for the Palazzo di Checco il Bello, from the 13the century, then the church 3. San Giovanni Battista, with its frescoes and ancient baptismal fonts. Allow about 1 to 2 hours to stroll and see the main sites without rushing.

To complete the visit, the Archaeological Documentation Center displays objects from the local Etruscan necropolises and a reconstruction of a tomb. In October 2026, it is announced as open on Saturdays and Sundays, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., until 1st November; check the opening hours before going, as opening times vary by season. About 2 km from the villageaway, the Romanesque ruins of San Bruzio are also worth the detour: notably the apse and some arches remain, but it is an open-air site, not a fitted-out church. Bring good shoes and, if you go on foot, check the route on site.

Don't turn Magliano into a heritage race: the charm is also in turning into an alleyway just because it intrigues you.
