The simplest option is to use your usual plan if your operator includes roaming in Italy; otherwise, get an eSIM before departure or a prepaid SIM card on site. If you come from an EU country, still check the data limit usable abroad: it may be lower than your domestic allowance.
For a physical SIM, stop by an operator's store, for example TIM, and ask for a prepaid plan with internet. Bring your passport: it may be required to register the line. As a reference, the plan TIM Tourist costs €14.99 for 30 days, avec €10 for the SIM extra; check the terms at the time of purchase, as offers change. In a compatible and unlocked phone, the eSIM is often more convenient: you buy it online and activate it according to the provider's instructions, but some plans only include data, with no Italian number.
In Maremma, don't count on a perfect connection everywhere: reception can be weak in rural areas, hills or some isolated accommodations. Download your offline maps before leaving and ask your accommodation which network works best in the area. For a few days, the eSIM or your existing plan is often enough; for a longer stay or lots of tethering, compare data volumes and validity periods before paying.
