How much does an eSIM cost for traveling in Tuscany?

For a stay in Tuscany, généralement compte 5 to 15 € for an eSIM with a limited data volume, ou environ 22 to 23 € for 7 days unlimited. The price mainly depends on the amount of data and the duration: for example, an unlimited plan checked for Italy was listed at 22.50 € for a week. Rates and promotions can change, so check the final price before purchasing.

If you mainly use maps, messages and a few searches, a small plan should be enough; video, tethering and frequent posting consume much more. Note that "unlimited" may be subject to usage or tethering conditions. Most travel eSIMs provide data, not an Italian number for regular calls: WhatsApp and other apps work with internet. Also check that your phone is eSIM-compatible and unlocked before paying.

In town, the connection is generally easier; in rural or hilly areas of the Maremma and of the Tuscan countryside, the signal can vary depending on the location and the network used. If you plan to drive a lot outside the cities, don't assume coverage will be constant: download your maps in advance. For a one-week trip with ordinary usage, plan on about 10 to 15 € ; rather take the unlimited plan if you consume a lot of data.

The real data thief is sometimes the video that starts playing by itself during the coffee break! Disable autoplay and save your data for unexpected detours.
