Comment on noteThe wine
Imagine a fine, persistent bubble, a rosé that dances in your glass, whispering stories of Tuscan hills to you. That's the experience this Pomino Rosé offers you, a delicate and vibrant expression of an exceptional terroir.
This sparkling wine, the Leonia Pomino Rosé Millesimato 2020, is the fruit of the Frescobaldi estate, nestled in the Pomino region of Tuscany. Here, modest altitudes and a cool climate create ideal conditions for the elegant flourishing of the grape varieties. It is Pinot Nero, carefully cultivated, that gives birth to this sparkling rosé.
From the very first glance, you will be charmed by its luminous pink color. On the nose, it unfolds a delicate, fruity bouquet, in which I perceive notes of wild strawberries and small red fruits, lifted by light floral touches. On the palate, the perlage is fine and persistent, bringing remarkable freshness. The balance between acidity and a lovely sweetness is perfect, without ever becoming heavy. This wine benefited from 40 months of aging on the lees, using the classic method, which gives it structure without compromising its liveliness.
This spumante is an invitation to conviviality. I highly recommend it as an aperitif, to launch the festivities with elegance. It will also pair wonderfully with delicate antipasti, fish-based dishes, or seafood. It is a bubble that will enhance your moments of sharing with a touch of Tuscan refinement.
