Comment on noteThe wine
I invite you on a sensory journey to the heart of Tuscany, where the hills roll beneath the sun and every sip tells a story. This Chianti Superiore from Melini is the very essence of this land, a pure and vibrant expression of its wine-growing heritage.
We are here in the heart of Chianti, that emblematic region of Tuscany, birthplace of wines that have conquered the world. The Melini estate, with its rich history, has been dedicated for generations to showcasing this unique terroir. This wine is the fruit of a rigorous selection of Sangiovese Grosso grapes, complemented by other local varieties, grown on the region's most favorable hills. Fermentation in steel tanks, followed by maceration on the skins, preserves the purity of the fruit, before an aging of at least nine months that refines its aromas.
In your glass, this Chianti reveals itself with an intense ruby red color, which, over time, may tend toward purplish hues. On the nose, I perceive a complex and seductive bouquet: notes of cherry and plum mingle with a light spicy touch, evoking vanilla and black pepper. On the palate, its structure is robust yet harmonious, carried by soft, well-integrated tannins. The acidity is lively, bringing beautiful freshness, and it all ends on a persistent, balanced finish.
This wine is a true chameleon at the table. I warmly recommend it with red meats, whether a flavorful roast or a bistecca alla fiorentina. It also pairs wonderfully with aged cheeses, whose richness is balanced by its liveliness. And of course, for total immersion, it will be the perfect partner for all traditional Tuscan dishes, from pasta with rich sauces to fragrant stews. It is the wine you will bring out for a convivial dinner among friends, or for a moment of pure pleasure, letting yourself be carried away by the flavors of Tuscany.
