Comment on noteOur opinion
Here, you're at Lido di Tarquinia, and the first thing you'll notice is the sea. This isn't a hidden trattoria, it's a modern beach club, designed for the view. Guests talk about a veranda right on the beach and sunsets that are worth the trip. It's the kind of place where the atmosphere comes first, and that's clear from the start.
The house offers Italian cuisine which, according to feedback, is uneven. You'll find seafood classics like Moscardini alla Luciana, small octopus cooked Neapolitan-style, and Sauté di Cozze, sautéed mussels. They also serve a Carpaccio di Tonno, thinly sliced raw tuna. Some guests enjoyed the tagliolini cozze e pecorino, a bold combination of pasta with mussels and sheep's cheese, as well as the frittura di pesce, fried fish.
The setting, however, is unmistakable: you eat with your feet almost in the sand. It's a restaurant directly on the sea, with a veranda offering a breathtaking view of the beach, even in overcast weather. The atmosphere is that of a contemporary "beach club", far from the rustic décors you can find elsewhere in Tuscany. Expect a gazebo facing the sea, an airy atmosphere and sometimes even live music. It's a place made for enjoying the outdoors and the panorama.
If you're looking for a breathtaking sea view and a "beach club" setting for a sunset, this address is worth considering. But be warned: feedback on the quality of the dishes and service is mixed. The local reputation is clear: people come here for the panorama and the relaxed atmosphere, less so for a consistently gastronomic experience. It's a choice for the eyes above all, with an average price of around €26 per person.
