Where is Talamone in Tuscany?

Talamone is located on the coast of the Maremma, in southern Tuscany, on the shores of the Tyrrhenian Sea. It is a hamlet of the municipality ofOrbetello, in the province of Grosseto, set on a rocky promontory north of Monte Argentario. It is located approximately 24 km from Orbetello.

To locate it on a map, look for it between Grosseto and Argentario, near the southern end of the Maremma Natural Park. By car, it is reached from the Aurelia road by taking the Fonteblanda-Talamone exit, then driving about 4 km up to the village. Talamone is therefore a seaside choice in the Maremma, rather than a base in the heart of Tuscany's art cities: from Florence or Siena, the journey is considerably longer than from Orbetello or Grosseto.
