What is the most beautiful seaside town in Tuscany?

I would choose Castiglione della Pescaia : it is a medieval village by the sea, with an old town on the hilltop, a castle and sandy beaches within walking distance of the center. The setting is particularly beautiful on the nature side: the pine forest of the Tombolo runs along the coast towards Marina di Grosseto. However, it is not a small quiet village: in summer, it is a lively seaside resort, with crowds on the beaches and in the streets.

To enjoy the coast without the heavy crowds, aim rather for May, June or September. 1. . En July and August, the equipped beaches and parking can cost more, and it is better to arrive early. There are also stretches of free beach. Grosseto is located about 20 km, i.e. around 30 minutes by car depending on traffic; the most convenient train station is there, then you can reach Castiglione by bus, with schedules that vary by season. If you prefer a quieter atmosphere, also look at the beaches towards Le Marze, between Castiglione and Marina di Grosseto.

My wild boar's advice: don't reduce it to just a swimming stop, its charm lies precisely in the contrast between a seaside getaway and a village atmosphere.
