For the wildest landscape, I would choose Cala Violina, near Scarlino: a small cove of light sand between two headlands, accessible via a path through the Mediterranean scrub. From the Pian d'Alma parking lot, allow about 30 minutes on foot. In high season, from June 1st to September 15th, l’accès est limité à 700 personnes par jour et la réservation est nécessaire ; prévois aussi de l’eau, car il n’y a ni bar ni restaurant sur la plage.
If you prefer a long beach with a pine forest behind it, go to Feniglia, near Orbetello: the sandy spit stretches for about 7 km, and the shallow water is better suited to families. For a more secluded atmosphere, Marina di Alberese, in the Maremma park, offers dunes, pines and an undeveloped coast; but be careful, the bridge over the Perazzeta canal had been closed since September 21, 2026, y compris aux piétons et aux vélos. Vérifie l’accès avant de partir.
So, for a spectacular cove: Cala Violina. For a long walk along the water: Feniglia. For the nature of the park, choose Alberese only after checking the access conditions.
