Is Saturnia free to visit?

No, the Cascate del Mulino, the natural pools near Saturnia, are free: you can swim there without a ticket. However, the parking nearby is paid ; so plan a small budget and check the rate displayed on site, which may vary. The parking lot is located about 300 meters waterfalls.

Not to be confused with the Parco Termale di Terme di Saturnia : it is a private facility with equipped pools, sauna and services, and entry is paid. For a day ticket, expect around 42 € per adult ; some packages include the bathrobe, towel and slippers. The exact price depends on the option chosen. So, to swim without paying entry, go for the Cascate del Mulino, not the thermal park. Remember to bring a towel and shoes that grip well on the rocks: the ground can be slippery.

If you want to enjoy the scenery without the crowds, aim for an off-peak time: the atmosphere of the pools changes quickly as they fill up.
