From Grosseto, , take the SS1 Via Aurelia towards Rome, then follow the signs for the exit Albinia. Allow about 32 km and 30 to 40 minutes by car, outside traffic jams. This is the most direct route; this stretch of the Aurelia generally requires no toll.
After the exit, follow the signs towards the center ofAlbinia. If you are heading instead towards Orbetello, Porto Santo Stefano or the Giannella, check the signs matching your destination: Albinia is a crossing point for several local roads. In summer, especially on weekends and during peak departure times to the beaches, allow some extra time: traffic may slow down on the Aurelia and as you approach the town. Occasional roadworks or detours may also change access; check your GPS just before leaving.
