How much do accommodations in Manciano cost compared to the coast?

En général, Manciano is cheaper than the coast : for two people, expect around 70 to 115 € per night in an agriturismo room, often with breakfast, versus rather 90 to 190 € à Castiglione della Pescaia, depending on the standard and the season. These are orders of magnitude based on listed rates, not a guarantee for every address: in Manciano, one establishment advertises for example 70 to 85 € for a double room depending on the season, while on the coast some 2026 hotels list 90 to 140 €, and others 158 to 228 € per night for two.

The gap widens especially in July and August, particularly around the August 15 ; off-season, the coast can be more affordable and prices get closer. Manciano remains convenient if you want to visit the hinterland and the thermal baths, but it's not a stay with your feet in the water: Capalbio is about 28 km away, roughly thirty minutes by car, and you still have to get to the beach. Without a car, staying in Manciano to go to the sea every day is likely to be inconvenient.

The trap is comparing only the room price: if your stay revolves around the beach, factor in the travel too before booking — my little wild boar calculator doesn't like false savings!
