Comment on noteThe wine
Picture yourself under the Tuscan sun, a glass in hand. This Bolgheri Rosato from Tenuta Guado al Tasso is the embodiment of that dolce vita: an invitation to lightness, freshness and conviviality. It is not just a wine, it is a promise of shared moments, an echo of the landscapes that saw it born.
We are here in the prestigious Bolgheri DOC appellation, on the lands of Tenuta Guado al Tasso, property of the Marchesi Antinori. This estate is a name that resonates with Tuscan wine history and excellence. It is in this privileged setting that this Rosato is born, from a harmonious blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah, grape varieties that find here a unique expression, shaped by the Mediterranean climate and the proximity of the Tyrrhenian Sea.
The 2024 vintage of this rosé is the fruit of meticulous craftsmanship. After a delicate destemming and pressing, the grapes undergo a short maceration of 2 to 4 hours, just long enough to extract the colour and subtle aromas. Fermentation then takes place at 16°C in stainless steel tanks, thus preserving the freshness and liveliness of the fruit. A few weeks of ageing on fine lees perfects its texture and complexity. On tasting, you will discover a delicate robe, a floral and fruity nose where cherry, pomegranate, citrus and a touch of rose petals mingle. On the palate, it offers a beautiful balance between freshness and sapidity, a discreet but persistent aromatic profile, inviting the next sip.
This Bolgheri Rosato is an ideal companion for your summer tables. I highly recommend it with antipasti di mare, those delicious seafood starters that call for freshness. It will also pair wonderfully with grilled fish, delicately prepared white meats, or fresh cheeses. Serve it well chilled to bring out all its character and liveliness. It is the perfect wine for a terrace lunch, an aperitif with friends or a light dinner, an invitation to conviviality and to the discovery of Tuscan flavours. Let yourself be carried away by its discreet charm and elegant freshness, a true hidden gem of Tuscany.
