Comment on noteThe wine
Imagine yourself on the hills of Bolgheri, the sun caressing the vines. This wine is an invitation to that sensory journey, an elegant and accessible expression of maritime Tuscany. It offers you a perfect balance between power and finesse, a true caress for the senses.
This wine comes from the Tenuta Guado al Tasso, an estate owned by the Marchesi Antinori, located in the prestigious Bolgheri DOC appellation, in the heart of the Alta Maremma. This region, blessed by its proximity to the Tyrrhenian Sea, enjoys a unique microclimate that favors the optimal ripening of international grape varieties. The winemaking tradition there is ancient, but it was in recent years that Bolgheri acquired its worldwide fame thanks to wines of great personality. Il Bruciato is made mainly from Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by Merlot and Syrah, sometimes enriched with Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, a bold blend that has made the region's reputation.
From the moment you pour it, its intense ruby red color captivates you. On the nose, an aromatic directness reveals itself, blending sensations of ripe red fruits with light spicy notes and touches of Mediterranean herbs. I perceive aromas of vanilla and tobacco, completing this fruity bouquet without excess, supported by a clean and well-defined aromatic component. On the palate, this Bolgheri DOC reveals its structure. Its tannins are well drawn but never aggressive, offering a beautiful balance between softness and freshness. The progression is linear, and its persistence on the palate brings you back to the initial olfactory impressions, inviting the next sip.
This wine is an ideal companion for your meals. I recommend it with grilled red meats, whether a good steak or a piece of game. It will also pair wonderfully with aged cheeses, where its structure will know how to accompany them without overpowering them. For a simpler but equally tasty experience, try it with a pasta saporita, a pasta dish with intense flavors. It is a wine suited to many occasions, perfect for a dinner among friends or to accompany a moment of relaxation. Serve it between 16 and 18 °C; a brief decanting can help fully release its aromas.
