Is there a market in Grosseto on Thursdays?

Yes, there is a market in Grosseto on Thursdays. The weekly market is held in the area of Piazza Esperanto, Piazza De Maria and Via Ximenes, with about 160 stalls. It is spread over several streets and squares, so don't just look on Piazza De Maria: some locations have been moved over the years due to redevelopment. I recommend going in the morning; I don't have a reliable schedule to confirm for the whole market.

To be distinguished from the general market, there are also farmers' markets with short supply chains, open on Thursdays that are not public holidays at 7 am to 1:30 pm, including in Viale Repubblica Dominicana, corner of Via Svizzera, and in Piazza Donatello, on the Viale Giotto side. These locations are authorized until December 31, 2026. If you are mainly looking for local agricultural products, these markets may be more suitable; for clothing and various goods, aim instead for the weekly market in the center. On public holidays or in case of an event, it is better to check before going.
