The hot springs of Bagno Vignoni are located in the Val d'Orcia, in Tuscany, in the province of Siena. The village is a hamlet of San Quirico d'Orcia, about 5 km to the south of its center. On site, the spring gushes out in the large pool of the Piazza delle Sorgenti, in the middle of the village: it is this pool that makes the place special.
Note, you cannot bathe there: the pool on the square is historic and is meant for admiring the water, not for bathing. The thermal water then flows down to the Parco dei Mulini, below, but bathing is also forbidden there. To enjoy the warm waters in a pool, you need to choose a thermal establishment or a hotel offering access, usually for a fee. Bagno Vignoni is easily reached by car from Pienza or Castiglione d’Orcia ; however, plan to check access and parking conditions before your visit.
