What's there to see and do in Talamone?

À Talamone, take the time to wander through the old village, to see the Rocca Aldobrandesca and to enjoy the view over the gulf and the Argentario. The walk through the centre takes about 1 hour : also pass by the Porta Garibaldi et l’église Santa Maria Assunta. Le village est petit ; si tu cherches surtout des monuments ou des musées, tu en auras vite fait le tour.

For the sea, the spiaggia della Fertilia is sandy and exposed to the wind, which attracts windsurfing and kitesurfing enthusiasts. The spiaggia del Cannone, near the village, is rocky: bring suitable shoes if you want to swim. Feel like walking? Talamone lies at the southern end of the Maremma Park, with trails through the Mediterranean scrub and views over the coast. Note that some beaches in the park, such as Le Cannelle, ne sont accessibles qu’en visite guidée et sur réservation ; vérifie les modalités avant de partir. Compte une demi-journée pour une randonnée, davantage si tu ajoutes une baignade.

In Talamone, it's better to let the coast set the pace than to rush through a checklist of sights: it's a place to be savoured without a tight schedule.
