Where is the Castello delle Fornaci located in Tuscany?

The Castello delle Fornaci is located at Località Fornaci 19, in the municipality of Arcidosso, in the province of Grosseto, on the slopes of the Monte Amiata, in southeastern Tuscany. It is very close to Castel del Piano, about 3 km, and a few kilometers from the center of Arcidosso. It is a countryside address, easier to reach by car than by public transport.

A small clarification to avoid a false expectation: despite its name, it is not a medieval fortress known as the Castle of Arcidosso. The place is today an agritourism establishment set in a former agricultural estate whose buildings date back to the early XVIII^e siècle. It is therefore mainly an accommodation, not a monument open like a museum. If you wish to see it without staying there, it is best to contact the establishment before going: access and visiting possibilities should not be assumed. The medieval castle of the town of Arcidosso is a separate site, located in the historic center.
