You can see the geothermal phenomena mainly at the Biancane park, near Monterotondo Marittimo, and in Sasso Pisano, in the "Valley of the Devil", between the provinces of Grosseto and Pisa. A small clarification: don't expect tall, regular water jets like in Iceland. Here, you will rather see fumaroles, puffs of steam, bubbling pools and gas emissions; their activity and visibility vary.
At the Biancane, the trail passes near ground whitened or colored by minerals, with fumaroles and geothermal lagoons. A loop in the northern part takes about 40 minutes at a leisurely pace. At Sasso Pisano, a short geothermal route can be walked in about 30 minutes ; some visits to the area are done with a guide, so check the arrangements with the local tourist office before setting off. Both sites lend themselves well to a single outing by car. Stay on the marked trails: the water and ground can be scalding hot, and the surroundings of the vents are not safe. Bring closed shoes; the smell of sulfur can also be surprising. The MUBIA, in Monterotondo Marittimo, completes the walk with a visit about geothermal energy; the adult entrance fee is listed at 7 €, but its opening hours may vary depending on the season.
