How long is the Talamone Alberese hike?

Account 9 to 10 hours for the crossing on foot of Talamone to Alberese, over about 20 km. It's not a leisurely stroll: the trail goes through a series of ascents and descents, from sea level up to about 400 m, with sections through the scrubland and over the Uccellina hills.

Plan for a full day, good shoes, water and a picnic: you can't count on refreshment points along the way. Also pay attention to the organization: this crossing of the Maremma Park is offered only on certain dates and with a guide, by reservation. Since the start and finish are in two different places, you need to plan the transfer between Talamone and Alberese, often organized by leaving cars at the finish before heading to the start. If you were thinking instead of a simple walk between the two villages by road, that's not the same route nor the same hike.

The nice trap is wanting to stop at every beautiful viewpoint… and then having to negotiate with your legs to get going again! Keep some reserve for the end.
