The simplest option is to take a train at Firenze Santa Maria Novella up to Grosseto : some trains are direct and take about 2 h 30 to 3 h, while others require a change. Check the route for your departure day, as schedules and connections vary. Grosseto station is located in the city center.
The bus can be a cheaper alternative: direct journeys are available, with a travel time of about 2 h 20 and tickets starting from around 11 €, depending on the date and available seats. Check the departure address in Florence on your ticket carefully: the bus station may be located outside the city center.
By car, allow about 143 km and 2 h à 2 h 30 without stops, depending on traffic. The route usually goes through Siena; it's convenient if you want to stop along the way, but not necessarily faster than the train. To prepare for your arrival, here is the page dedicated to Grosseto.
