Comment on noteOur opinion
If you're looking for a table in Porto Ercole, this one is often mentioned for its breathtaking view and service that makes a difference. The restaurant sits atop the A Point Porto Ercole Resort & Spa, offering a panorama of Forte Filippo and Feniglia beach. It's a detail that matters, believe me, especially in this area.
Here, the cuisine is Mediterranean, with a clear focus on seafood. You'll find offerings like a tasting of salmon tartare, sea bream carpaccio and prawn salad, or a grilled trio of octopus, squid and prawns. The octopus and potato salad with Taggiasca olives and Pantelleria capers is also a constant. This is classic food, well executed, without unnecessary frills, which to me is a sign of seriousness.
The atmosphere, as you might guess, is defined by that terrace. Guests speak of an elegant, calm and relaxing setting. Sometimes there's even live music, adding a pleasant touch without ever becoming intrusive. It's the kind of place you come to as much for the panorama as for the food, and where the service is attentive and courteous, something I never overlook.
This restaurant is a choice for you if you value the setting and impeccable service. Prices are around €40 per person, which is on the high end for the region. But if you want an evening with a view that stays with you and well-executed seafood cuisine, it's a serious option. The reserved parking is a significant plus in Porto Ercole, take it from someone who knows the hassles of parking.
