Where is Magliano in Toscana?

Magliano in Toscana is located in the south of the Tuscany, at the heart of the Maremma, in the province of Grosseto. The village sits on a hill, about 30 km from Grosseto and 25 km from Orbetello by road, between the agricultural landscapes of the hinterland and the Tyrrhenian coast.

Don't confuse it with a seaside resort: the historic center is set back from the sea, surrounded by medieval walls, vineyards and olive groves. By car, you can reach from the village several sections of the coast or the Maremma Natural Park, but distances vary depending on the destination; check the exact route if you're aiming for a particular beach or trail. Magliano also serves as a landmark for visiting the neighboring villages, notably Scansano and Manciano. To place the village on an itinerary, think of it as a stop in the inland Maremma, south of Grosseto, rather than as a base directly by the sea.

Keep Magliano for a stop at a leisurely pace, then choose your beach before hitting the road: in the Maremma, the "not far" always deserves a glance at the map!
