Mandatory guide Maremma park summer Talamone Alberese?

Yes, for hikes on the trails of the Maremma Park, a guided visit is generally mandatory in summer, during the high fire-risk period, usually from June 15 to September 15. But this is not the case for all outings: you can go to the Marina di Alberese beach without a guide, by car, shuttle or bike. However, some coves accessible on foot, like Le Cannelle near Talamone, can only be visited with a guide and by reservation. The rules and dates of outings may vary depending on the itinerary.

If you mainly want to swim, Alberese is therefore simpler: in summer, the parking is paid and limited, and the shuttle leaves from Alberese or Rispescia. For a hike or a cove in the park, book in advance and check the scheduled departures for your dates; the access ticket for the itineraries displayed by the park is generally 5 to 10 €but a guided outing may have a different price. At Talamone, you can also enjoy the beaches accessible without undertaking a hike in the protected area.

The right approach is to choose your pace before leaving: a beach day and a real nature outing are not quite improvised in the same way in the Maremma.
