Yes, Tuscany has a coastline on the Mediterranean : its shoreline faces the mer Ligure au nord et la Tyrrhenian Sea further south, two parts of the Mediterranean. You can therefore combine a stay in the hinterland with a few days by the water, especially in Versilia, around Livorno ou dans la Maremma.
The nuance is that Tuscany is not everywhere by the sea: Florence, Siena and Arezzo, for example, are inland. From Florence, allow about 100 km and 1 hour 30 to 2 hours of driving to reach the coast, depending on the destination and traffic. The coastline alternates seaside resorts, ports, developed beaches and more natural areas; the atmosphere therefore varies a lot from one place to another. In summer, the busiest beaches can be lively and some establishments charge for access to sun loungers. If you're looking for the sea during your trip, check the distance from your accommodation: "in Tuscany" doesn't necessarily mean "near the beach".
