vs

Arcidosso or Campagnatico ?

Same score, two different addresses · 7.2 vs 7,1

Tosco With an almost identical score (7.2 vs. 7.1), everything comes down to the experience: choose Arcidosso for its Rocca overlooking the rooftops and its historical layers, a real walking destination that rewards the climb, even if parking remains unclear. Campagnatico, on the other hand, is visited in passing, between ramparts and churches, with the bonus of the wild boar alla maremmana specialty for an inexpensive gourmet stop. If you want a view and heritage that must be earned, head to Arcidosso; for a short stop and a local table, Campagnatico welcomes you.

vs

Arcidosso or Semproniano ?

Same score, two different addresses · 7.2 vs 7,1

Tosco The Toscane Cachée score for Arcidosso (7.2) outpaces that of Semproniano (7.1), but its richer experience makes the difference: the Rocca and the historical layers offer a real hiking destination, whereas Semproniano amounts to aimless wandering with no described monument. If you want to sleep on site on a tight budget, Semproniano welcomes you in an inn from 30-50 € a night, an advantage Arcidosso does not document. For a heritage visit and varied viewpoints, choose Arcidosso; for an economical stay and a more marked tufa authenticity (7.7), head straight to Semproniano.

vs

Focarazza di Santa Caterina or Campagnatico ?

Same score, two different addresses · 7.1 vs 7,1

Tosco The Focarazza di Santa Caterina, with its 7.1 score and its fire ritual on November 24, is made for you if you're looking for a communal, nighttime festival, but its value/price ratio remains unclear for lack of announced prices. Campagnatico, on the other hand, suits you if you want a medieval village perched on olive-covered hills, with a specialty of wild boar alla maremmana, but its accessibility is not specified. Both have the same score, but one is a one-off, lively experience, the other a free and short visit: choose according to your mood of the moment, as the differences are slight.

vs

Focarazza di Santa Caterina or Semproniano ?

Same score, two different addresses · 7.1 vs 7,1

Tosco The Focarazza di Santa Caterina is for you if you want to experience a unique communal festival, with its fire ritual and the struggle for the stollo, even though the gustatory quality of the banquets remains unclear. Semproniano, on the other hand, suits small budgets better, with its inns from 30-50 € a night and its charm as a medieval tufa village, perfect for free wandering. Both show a score of 7.1, but one is a spectacle, the other a backdrop: choose according to your desire, as the differences are slight.

My advice: Monte Amiata

Arcidosso's score of 7.2 puts it at the top, and that's where you'll sleep best, with its Rocca and medieval alleys attested from 860, even if parking remains a mystery. For a cheap night, Semproniano advertises inns from 30-50 €, but its content is so poorly documented that you risk getting bored after the wandering. Be careful with the Focarazza di Santa Caterina, whose 7.1 score hides a superb fire ritual but banquets with no dish or price specified, and with Monte Amiata, reliable only weakly, where the beech forest is beautiful but access is totally unclear. If you want an authentic and photogenic village, choose Arcidosso; for a unique and communal experience, aim for the Focarazza on November 24; otherwise, Campagnatico and Celle sul Rigo remain short stops, to be combined rather than planned.
