Comment on noteThe wine
I invite you to discover a gem, the Camartina 2018 from Querciabella, a Toscana Rosso IGT that embodies elegance and depth. This wine is a magnificent expression of the estate's biodynamic philosophy, a true sensory journey to the heart of authentic Tuscany.
Nestled in the heart of Chianti Classico, in Greve in Chianti, the Querciabella estate is a pioneer of organic and biodynamic viticulture. Their commitment to nature is reflected in every bottle, and the Camartina is an eloquent example. This Super Tuscan is the fruit of a bold and harmonious blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Sangiovese, grape varieties carefully selected to express the best of this exceptional terroir.
The Camartina 2018 reveals itself with a deep, intense red color. On the nose, I perceive a complex and enveloping bouquet of red and black fruits, enriched with spicy nuances and balsamic notes, a testament to precise vinification and careful aging. On the palate, it offers remarkable power combined with certain elegance. The tannins are silky, the structure balanced, leading to a long and persistent finish that invites contemplation. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks, followed by maceration on the skins, then 12 to 18 months of aging that refines its aromas.
This wine is an ideal companion for special moments. I recommend it with grilled or roasted red meats, where its structure and aromas will find a perfect echo. It also pairs well with aged cheeses, prolonging the pleasure of tasting. The Camartina 2018 is more than a wine, it is an invitation to savor the richness of Tuscany, a bottle to share to celebrate special occasions or simply to treat yourself, letting yourself be carried away by its complexity and harmony.
