Comment on noteOur opinion
From Marina di Grosseto, the Mira 43 opens up the Maremma coast to a day of swimming, coves and sailing towards the Tuscan archipelago. I would recommend it if you want to share the sea with several people, with real space to enjoy both the trip and the stops. The listed rate starts at €980 per day; fuel and certain fees remain to be budgeted.
This Mira 43 by Innovazione e Progetti, built in 2004, measures 12.6 metres and delivers 620 horsepower. It can accommodate up to eleven passengers and offers six berths spread across three cabins: a configuration that also makes an overnight stay on board possible. The interior spaces are described as spacious, with generous outdoor areas at the bow and in the aft cockpit.
For breaks at anchor, you will find a sun awning, sunbathing areas at the bow and stern, an outdoor table, a swimming platform and a boarding ladder. The equipment also includes a tender with its outboard motor, a paddleboard, a Seabob, masks and snorkels, as well as fishing gear. On board there are also air conditioning, autopilot, bow thruster, hot water and an electric toilet. The listing states a capacity of eleven people; the six berths therefore do not mean that everyone has a bed.
The description announces beautiful coves about twenty to thirty minutes away by boat, the island of Giglio in less than an hour and the island of Elba in a little over an hour. These benchmarks depend on conditions and do not guarantee a precise itinerary. Talamone, the surroundings of the Argentario and the nearby islands also provide ideas for outings to discuss depending on the weather and the time available. The tender makes it easier to approach the beaches. The listing states that a boating licence is required; the description mentions an outing accompanied by a skipper with no licence needed in this formula. Check the terms carefully when booking.
A weekend getaway can, according to the description, start on Friday in the late afternoon and end on Sunday before 6 pm, at the two-day rate. Fuel, announced at around four litres per mile, marinas other than Marina di Grosseto and meals are not included. In summer, I would book early and confirm the itinerary, the skipper and the fees before departure. For a day or a weekend at sea with family or friends, this Mira 43 is worth considering.
