Our rating system is based on five independent dimensions, all assessed after a personal visit. The'authenticity measures how much the place preserves its original character without tourist staging. The'accessibility takes into account transport, parking, practicality for families and off-season. The value for money evaluates the experience offered in relation to the actual cost of the visit. The photogenic quality notes the visual potential of the place at different times and seasons. The'experience, finally, is the synthetic score of the overall impression left after the visit.
The overall score displayed on each card is a weighted average of these five criteria, calculated automatically. Places that reach 8/10 or more are exceptional and deserve priority in your Tuscan itinerary. Between 6 and 8, the place is recommendable with nuances — read the card to understand its strengths and limitations. Below 6, the place is still documented but will only be worth it in case of a particular thematic interest.
