Home › Glossary › three-room apartment
A trilocale is an apartment with three main rooms: a kitchen-living room, a bedroom, and a second bedroom. So you'll have two separate bedrooms, often with a double bed in one and two single beds or a bunk bed in the other. It's the ideal format if you're traveling as a group of four, or if you need extra space for children or friends. In Maremma, you'll find plenty of them in holiday residences or agritourism farms, offering a good compromise between everyone's privacy and the conviviality of the shared spaces. It's larger than a bilocale, so more comfortable for an extended stay.
