Home › Glossary › country house
A country house in Maremma is a restored country house, often old, that offers accommodations. Unlike an agriturismo, it does not necessarily produce on site and will not sell you its olive oil or wine. The emphasis is on comfort and rural aesthetics, with well-equipped rooms or apartments, sometimes a pool. It is an option if you are looking for the calm of the countryside without the agricultural aspect, a place from which to easily set out to explore the region, with a good level of service and privacy.
