If you're looking for a convenient and comfortable base in Maremma, the Fontermosa Hotel is a good option. It's a 4-star hotel of a manageable size, with around twenty rooms, ideally located for exploring the coast and the area around Talamone.
This 4-star hotel is located in Fonteblanda, in the municipality of Orbetello, directly on the SS Aurelia. It's a compact establishment offering classic hotel services, including a seasonal outdoor pool and an on-site restaurant. You also get free parking and WiFi.
Its location is strategic: you're close to the sea and well placed to reach Talamone and its port in about ten minutes by car. The Argentario and the Maremma regional park are also easily accessible from this hotel.
I recommend this address if you're planning a seaside or touring stay in Maremma. It's a good base camp for exploring the coast and the surrounding villages, with an appreciable level of comfort for a budget between €200 and €350 per night.
