Fonteblanda, a small seaside resort at the foot of the Maremma Natural Park, offers family vacation accommodations — apartments, villas, campsites — a few minutes' walk from the beach and the north entrance of the park, one of the best-preserved natural areas in central Italy.
It's one of the best bases for combining beach lounging and exploring the park (Maremmana horse breed, coastal trails, medieval watchtowers), with quick access to Talamone and Orbetello.
