Viator and GetYourGuide are above all two different storefronts for booking activities: in Tuscany, you will often find the same provider or very similar excursions on both, with no guarantee that the price, schedules or conditions are identical. The difference therefore lies more in the displayed offering, the reviews and the booking terms than in an intrinsically superior quality of one or the other.
From Florence, compare the excursions to the Chianti, Siena or San Gimignano by checking what is actually included: transport, meals, tastings, entrance fees and the guide's language. A trip to the Chianti often lasts around 5 heures ; a day combining several towns can approach 12 heures. Prices range from a few dozen euros to more than a hundred euros per person depending on the duration, group size and services. Also check the cancellation deadline on each listing: it can vary from one activity to another, even on the same platform.
My advice: pick an activity on both sites, then compare the operator's name, the meeting point, recent reviews and the final price. In Maremma, the offering of organized excursions is generally less extensive than around Florence; for a very local visit, contacting a provider directly can be more effective. Always check the routes: some trips listed as "Tuscany" involve a lot of driving and little time on site.
